Spruce Grove and Stony Plain moving rates
Moves within Spruce Grove or Stony Plain, between the two towns, or between either town and Edmonton or another community we serve nearby use a flat price for the first 3 hours. For other Parkland County addresses, including the Acheson Industrial Area, we confirm the price in a written quote.
- 2 movers and a truck: $750 flat for the first 3 hours, then the hourly rate for your date (from $150/hr)
- 3 movers and a truck: $950 flat for the first 3 hours, then the hourly rate for your date (from $195/hr)
- 4 movers and a truck: $1,200 flat for the first 3 hours, then the hourly rate for your date (from $245/hr); 4-hour minimum
- 5 movers and 2 trucks: $1,600 flat for the first 3 hours, then the hourly rate for your date (from $325/hr); 4-hour minimum
The flat price for the first 3 hours is the same on every date. Rates can be higher on busy dates (Friday to Sunday, May to September and around month-end). The booking form shows the exact hourly rate for your date. All prices are before GST (5%).
Packing, furniture disassembly and reassembly, pianos, safes, gym equipment, hot tubs and extra stops are confirmed by our Edmonton team before your move. A move out of the Edmonton region gets one written flat quote, and a rural address gets a written quote: for either, use our quote form rather than the booking form. Ready to pick a date? Send a booking request, or see all our Edmonton rates first.
Moving within Spruce Grove or Stony Plain
Houses and townhomes
About six homes in ten in both towns are single-detached, so plan for a developed basement, a full garage, stairs with a landing and the walk to the truck.
Apartments and condos
Stony Plain has the larger share of apartments (22%, against 16% in Spruce Grove). Most condo and apartment buildings set their own move rules (elevator bookings, time windows, deposits or fees) through bylaws or building rules. Check with your property manager early.
Manufactured and mobile homes
We move the contents, not the home. Measure the doors and mention entry steps or a deck; narrow doorways decide what comes apart.
Newly built homes
Spruce Grove grew 10.4% from 2016 to 2021. Moving into a new build? Confirm the possession date and key handover with your builder in writing before you choose a move date.
Parking and permits: rules in Spruce Grove, Stony Plain and Parkland County are set by each municipality, so check with them. City of Edmonton rules apply only at an Edmonton address.

Getting to and from Edmonton
Highway 16A is the main link: it leaves Edmonton's west end as Stony Plain Road, runs to Spruce Grove and also serves Stony Plain. Google's fastest route to Stony Plain used Highway 16, with Whitemud Drive and Highway 628 as an alternative. Anthony Henday Drive is the ring road, with about 80 km of free-flow travel (Government of Alberta).
At the Edmonton end, Edmonton's Traffic Bylaw lets commercial vehicles stop to load and unload with hazard lights on. We plan the truck position before move day. City of Edmonton winter parking bans apply only on Edmonton streets; our Edmonton winter moving guide explains them.
Moving a business in the Acheson Industrial Area
Acheson is Parkland County's industrial area between Spruce Grove and Edmonton, roughly bounded by Edmonton, Highway 16 and Highway 628. According to Parkland County's Acheson page, it sits on the CN main line with a connection to the Port of Prince Rupert, beside the CANAMEX Corridor, about 30 km from Edmonton International Airport.
Local Edmonton crews handle office and commercial moves, commercial deliveries, and warehouse pickups and deliveries. For an Acheson address, send us the details below and we will confirm in your quote:
- What is moving: office furniture, boxed files, electronics and other contents, with sizes for large pieces.
- Loading access: a dock or grade-level door at each end, and where a truck can wait.
- Your hours: tell us your business hours and your building's move windows; we'll confirm in writing what timing we can offer.
- The civic address: so we can plan the truck's approach from Highway 16 or Highway 628.
Machinery, racking and anything that needs a forklift or rigging is specialist work that may need a separate provider. List it separately and we will tell you in writing what is and is not part of our quote.
