Prescott parking, waste and utility setup for your move
From November 1 to March 31, the Town of Prescott requires every vehicle to be off the street between midnight and 7 a.m. (By-law 47-2017, section 7.13), so a winter truck that sits loaded overnight needs a driveway or another legal off-street spot. Household garbage is picked up curbside every Tuesday at 7 a.m., and each bag needs its own bag tag, so budget tags for a big pre-move clear-out. Recycling goes out on Fridays, alternating between paper and containers. In town, both the electricity account and the water account are opened through Rideau St. Lawrence Utilities rather than Town Hall. Cardinal, Spencerville and Johnstown are in the Township of Edwardsburgh-Cardinal, which collects garbage on different days by area.
