How a disassembly and reassembly move works
1. Walkthrough and quote
Tell us which pieces come apart. A quick photo or video walkthrough lets us size the crew and estimate the time, so the quote reflects the real job.
2. Disassembly at the old address
Hardware goes into labelled bags taped to the piece it belongs to. Panels are blanket-wrapped and shrink-wrapped so edges and finishes do not rub in the truck. Glass and mirrors ride in their own padded sleeves.
3. Reassembly at the new address
The same crew rebuilds each piece in the room you point to, checks it is level and stable, and takes the wrap and packaging away. You are sleeping in your own bed the first night, not on a mattress on the floor.

Can I book furniture assembly without a move?
Yes. Assembly-only and disassembly-only visits are booked as labour-only jobs: a two-person crew at $150 per hour with a 3-hour minimum plus travel inside Ottawa. That covers most flat-pack deliveries, bed and wardrobe builds, or a room reshuffle.
Do you assemble IKEA furniture?
Yes, including PAX wardrobes, Kallax and Besta units, Malm beds and dressers, and dining and desk lines. Bring the instruction sheet if you have it, and we will build it from the hardware bag if you do not.
Will you take apart my bed for the move?
Yes. Beds, headboards and bunk beds are disassembled at the old address, hardware is bagged and taped to the frame, and everything is rebuilt at the new address the same day.
How long does furniture assembly take?
A standard bed frame is usually under an hour. A PAX wardrobe with doors and interiors is typically one to two hours for two people. Whole-home disassembly and reassembly during a move adds roughly one to three hours to the move, depending on how many pieces come apart.
What if a piece cannot be taken apart?
