What an unpacking crew actually does
Kitchen and bathrooms first
The two rooms that make a house livable. Dishes into cabinets, glassware unwrapped and shelved, pantry stocked, towels and toiletries in place. This is the most-booked unpack and usually takes a two-person crew two to three hours.
Bedrooms and closets
Wardrobe boxes emptied straight onto closet rails, drawers filled, beds made if linens are packed with them, lamps and side tables set. Kids rooms done first so bedtime happens on schedule.
Living areas and office
Books shelved, media set on the stand, décor unwrapped and placed on the surfaces you point to. Office paperwork stays in its labelled boxes unless you want it opened.
Debris out, same day
Flattened boxes, packing paper and bubble wrap leave with the crew. Boxes in good shape go back into our reusable stock, the rest is recycled. You are not living in a paper pile for a week.
Unpacking service pricing in Ottawa

- Quick walkthrough. You tell us which rooms and where things go. Five minutes with the lead mover saves an hour of guessing.
- Kitchen first, then the rooms you use tonight. Beds, bathrooms, kids rooms. Décor and the garage come last.

Yes. The crew places items where you direct during the walkthrough. If you are not sure yet, we group by category on the nearest surface so you can decide later without re-opening boxes.
Can you unpack the same day as the move?
Usually yes, if you add it at booking so we schedule the crew time. For larger homes we often split the unpack into moving day for the kitchen and the following morning for everything else.
