Three communities, three different moves
Leduc, Leduc County and Beaumont are separate municipalities: parking and permit rules at each address are set by that municipality, so check with them before move day. Nisku is not a census place, so its figures sit inside Leduc County's.

Leduc, Nisku and Beaumont moving rates
Leduc, Nisku, Beaumont and nearby Devon all use our flat-rate model: a move that starts or ends in one of them, with the other address in the same town, in Edmonton or in another community we serve nearby, has a flat price for the first 3 hours. Rural Leduc County addresses are priced in a written quote.
- 2 movers and a truck: $750 flat for the first 3 hours, then the hourly rate for your date (from $150/hr)
- 3 movers and a truck: $950 flat for the first 3 hours, then the hourly rate for your date (from $195/hr)
- 4 movers and a truck: $1,200 flat for the first 3 hours, then the hourly rate for your date (from $245/hr); 4-hour minimum
- 5 movers and 2 trucks: $1,600 flat for the first 3 hours, then the hourly rate for your date (from $325/hr); 4-hour minimum
The flat price for the first 3 hours is the same on every date. Rates can be higher on busy dates (Friday to Sunday, May to September and around month-end). The booking form shows the exact hourly rate for your date. All prices are before GST (5%).
Packing, furniture disassembly and reassembly, pianos, safes, gym equipment, hot tubs and extra stops are confirmed by our Edmonton team before your move. A move out of the Edmonton region gets one written flat quote, and a rural address gets a written quote: for either, use our quote form rather than the booking form. Ready to pick a date? Send a booking request, or see all our Edmonton rates first.
Local moves: what movers in Leduc and Beaumont plan around
Within Leduc
Almost two-thirds of Leduc's homes are detached, and most apartments are in buildings under five storeys. Most condo and apartment buildings set their own move rules (elevator bookings, time windows, deposits or fees), so check with your property manager early. About one household in four rents; if that is you, give notice under Alberta's rules for ending a tenancy first (general information, not legal advice).
Within Beaumont
Beaumont grew about 20% between 2016 and 2021 (Statistics Canada), the fastest of the communities on this page, and traces its roots to French-Canadian settlers in the 1890s. Today it is a city of family homes: four in five are detached, and the average household is 3.0 people, against 2.5 in Edmonton. When you ask Beaumont movers for a quote, list the basement and garage contents and any piece that may need to come apart for the stairs.
Nisku and rural Leduc County
Outside the business park the county is largely rural, and about 8% of homes are movable dwellings (a mover moves the contents, not the dwelling). For a rural house or acreage, send both addresses and describe how a truck reaches the house, and we will confirm in your quote. Our guide to residential moves covers what to prepare.
The drive north: getting to and from Edmonton
The fastest car routes from downtown Edmonton to all three start on Calgary Trail. For Leduc and Nisku it becomes the QEII (Hwy 2), which continues past the airport towards Red Deer and Calgary; for Beaumont, the link is 50 Street / Hwy 814.
Moving into Edmonton? Include the address's quadrant suffix, such as NW or SW; the City of Edmonton's parking rules apply at that end. January runs colder south of the city: the mean is about −12.1 °C at the Edmonton International Airport weather station near Leduc, against about −10.4 °C in the city centre (Environment and Climate Change Canada 1981–2010 climate normals). Our winter moving guide covers parking bans, cold and short days.
Moving between Leduc, Nisku or Beaumont and Edmonton? Send both addresses, with the quadrant suffix at the Edmonton end, and list your largest pieces.
Nisku and airport-area business moves: a planning note
Nisku Business Park, in Leduc County, is about 3 km (roughly five minutes' drive) from Edmonton International Airport, according to Leduc County, and its employers range from food companies to a distillery and a fulfilment centre. Settle these points before you request a price.
- Location. Nisku Business Park is in Leduc County; a unit inside the City of Leduc falls under the City's rules instead. Check road rules with the municipality and site rules with your landlord, then send the civic address, park name and any landlord move rules.
- Doors and docks. A dock, an overhead door or an office entrance decides where the truck stands and how far items travel by hand. Send photos of each door and the lot.
- Business hours. Tell us your hours and move windows, and we will confirm in writing what timing we can offer.
- What is moving. Office furniture, files, shelving and boxed stock are routine moving work; heavy machinery and racking need specialized riggers. Send a list with photos of heavy or bolted-down pieces, and we will confirm what we can move.
- Site rules. Some sites require a sign-in or safety orientation. Tell us the requirements when you request your quote, and we will confirm in writing whether we can meet them.
