Mississauga moves, handled by our Toronto / GTA office
Men In Trucks Moving Inc. was founded in Ottawa in 2010. Local moves in the GTA are new for us: Men In Trucks crews now handle local moves across Toronto and the surrounding communities, Mississauga included, arranged through our office on Front Street West in Toronto.
We do not have an office in Mississauga. The centre of Mississauga is about 26 km by road (OpenStreetMap routing) from our Toronto / GTA office, and that team plans, prices and confirms your move. Because local moves here are new for us, this page shows no Mississauga testimonials, job counts or local history; it shows how a Mississauga move is priced, planned and confirmed.

What we move in Mississauga
Detached houses, semis and townhouses
Every room, plus the basement and the garage. Mention stairs, a narrow side entrance or a long walk to the door in the booking form.
Condo towers and apartment buildings
High-rise condos, mid-rises and rental apartments, planned around your building's elevator booking, its permitted move times and where the truck can load.
Offices and commercial spaces
Workstations, filing cabinets, meeting rooms and office furniture. Enter the number of workstations in the booking form, or ask for a written quote first. Ask your building's management early for its move rules and any elevator or loading-dock booking.
Packing and unpacking help
No packing, part of it or all of it: choose the level in the booking form and the team confirms it with you.
Furniture and single items
One piece or a handful of pieces. Ask for a written quote and list what is moving.
Loading and unloading labour
Your rental truck or moving container, our crew doing the lifting and loading.
Mississauga to Toronto, and back
A move between Mississauga and Etobicoke, downtown Toronto, North York or Scarborough uses the same flat first 3 hours as a move inside Mississauga.
Long-distance moves
Elsewhere in Ontario or to another province, with one written flat quote per job.
Heavy or unusual items
Pianos, safes, gym equipment: tell us in your request; the team confirms what is needed before the move.
Mississauga street and building rules on moving day
These are City of Mississauga, Peel Region, Ontario and federal rules and notices, each linked to its official page. Mississauga's street rules are not the City of Toronto's, so a move between the two cities follows each city's rules at its own address. For the Toronto end, see moving-day logistics in Toronto. Rules change: check the linked page for your date. General information, not legal advice.
Where the moving truck can stop
Under Mississauga's Traffic By-law, a vehicle may stand temporarily where parking is prohibited while it is actually loading or unloading merchandise or passengers, so a No Parking sign generally still allows the truck to load. No Standing and No Stopping signs do not. We place the truck around the signs on your street (City of Mississauga Traffic By-law 0555-2000 (opens in a new tab)).
On Mississauga streets, parking is generally limited to five hours, and street parking from 2 a.m. to 6 a.m. is not allowed unless a sign, a permit or the City allows it. The same by-law keeps heavy trucks off streets in residential zones, except to carry goods to or from an address that can only be reached by that street. It also lets a heavy truck stop on a street in a residential zone only for that purpose, or for a temporary period while it attends a home for a delivery or service. We plan the rest of the route on permitted streets.
Hurontario Street: Hazel McCallion Line construction
Metrolinx is building the Hazel McCallion Line, a light rail line along Hurontario Street from Port Credit GO to Brampton Gateway Terminal. Its construction notices, current in October 2026, list intersection closures and turn restrictions along Hurontario Street, with detours (Metrolinx: Hazel McCallion Line notices (opens in a new tab)). If either address is on or near Hurontario Street, check the notices for your moving date and mention it in the booking form; we plan the truck's route around the posted detours.
Temporary parking permits, containers and bins
The City's temporary parking permits are valid for five days, but they are not available for heavy or commercial vehicles, so a permit cannot be used for the moving truck. Permits are not valid on private property or where signs prohibit parking (City of Mississauga temporary parking permits (opens in a new tab)). If your own car has to stay on the street while the truck uses your driveway, check whether a permit fits your case.
The City lists waste bins and storage containers among the equipment that needs a road occupancy permit before it is placed on a City road, sidewalk or boulevard, and asks for applications well before the planned date (City of Mississauga road occupancy permits (opens in a new tab)).
Winter: the citywide parking restriction
When the City needs to plow, it declares a citywide winter parking restriction. While it is in effect you cannot park on the street unless a sign says you can, and temporary and extended parking permits are suspended. The City announces each restriction online and through its alert subscription, and 311 can tell you whether one is in effect (City of Mississauga seasonal parking rules (opens in a new tab)). If one is declared for your moving day, we plan the truck spot with you: your driveway, a signed spot or a different time.
Condos and rental buildings: elevators and move times
In Ontario, condo rules are passed by each corporation's board and must be reasonable (Condominium Authority of Ontario (opens in a new tab)). Move rules such as the elevator booking, the permitted move times and any deposit are set building by building, so get your building's rules before you settle on a date, and share them with us.
Worth asking your property manager or landlord:
- Which days and hours does the building set aside for moves, and how do residents reserve the service elevator?
- Does the building take a move deposit, and how is it returned?
- Where does the truck load: a loading dock, a visitor area or the street? Is there a height limit at the garage or the dock?
- Does management want any document from the moving company before move day?
If management asks for a document from us, forward that request before you book; the Toronto / GTA team will tell you whether it can provide it. In the booking form you say, for each address, whether there is an elevator and whether it is reserved, and you can flag a loading zone, a street that needs a permit or a low clearance.
Renting: notice and your moving date
Tenants in Ontario generally give at least 60 days' written notice with the Landlord and Tenant Board's Form N9. The LTB brochure was last updated in 2018, so confirm the rule for your tenancy with the LTB before you fix the date (How a tenant can end their tenancy (Tribunals Ontario) (opens in a new tab)).
What to leave behind, and what not to pack
- Furniture or a mattress you are not taking: in Peel Region, which includes Mississauga, homes with curbside collection can put acceptable bulky items at the curb by 7 a.m. on their regular garbage day, or take them to a Community Recycling Centre, where drop-off fees apply (Peel Region bulky items (opens in a new tab)). In a condo or apartment building, ask management how bulky items are handled.
- Moving out of a home with curbside collection? Peel Region also collects extra garbage and bulky items on a weekday you arrange with its Waste Management team in advance; renovation items and household hazardous waste are not included (Peel Region waste collection for moving out (opens in a new tab)).
- Propane tanks, paint, fuels and household chemicals should not go on the truck: federal dangerous-goods rules limit what a hired mover can carry (Transport Canada (opens in a new tab)). Peel Region treats propane tanks and full or partly full paint cans as household hazardous waste, takes them at its Community Recycling Centres, and says never to put propane tanks in the garbage, in the recycling or at the curb (propane tanks (opens in a new tab), paint cans (opens in a new tab)).
- Keep jewellery, cash, medication and important documents with you, and note anything missing or damaged before the crew leaves.
How a Mississauga move works
- Send a request. In the booking form, choose Mississauga as the pickup or destination city, then your crew and date, and see the price for that date. You can also ask for a written quote first. Sending the form does not book the move or charge you anything.
- Our Toronto / GTA team confirms. It checks your details and contacts you by phone or email to confirm the date, the arrival window (Eastern Time) and the crew, plus anything priced separately, such as packing or a piano.
- Pay the deposit to book. You get a payment link for the deposit, and your move is booked once it is paid.
- Moving day. The crew loads the truck, drives to your new address and places your furniture in the rooms you choose. Walk through each room with the crew before they leave.
What we need for an accurate quote
- Both addresses, any extra stop, your date and your preferred arrival window.
- The type and size of your home, or the number of workstations for an office.
- Elevators at each address (and whether they are booked) and the flights of stairs.
- Parking or loading limits: a loading dock, a signed street, a long walk to the door, a low garage clearance.
- Heavy items, the packing level you want and any furniture to take apart.
How Mississauga moving prices work
Mississauga is one of the surrounding communities in our Toronto booking form, so a Mississauga move has a flat price for the first 3 hours, before HST (13%). That applies when both addresses are in Mississauga, and when the other address is in the City of Toronto or in another community listed in the form, such as Brampton, Oakville or Milton. The price covers the crew, the truck and the time.
The first 3 hours are a flat $750 with 2 movers and a truck, $950 with 3 movers, $1,200 with 4 movers and $1,600 with 5 movers and 2 trucks. After that, time is billed at the hourly rate for your date. Crews of 4 or 5 movers have a 4-hour minimum, so their fourth hour is billed at that hourly rate.
Example. With 2 movers, a move inside Mississauga that takes 3 hours or less is the flat $750, before HST (13%), on any date. If it runs longer, the extra time is billed at the hourly rate for your date: $150/hr on a standard date.
Busy dates. The flat first 3 hours stay the same on every date. The hourly rate after them can be higher on busy dates (Friday to Sunday, May to September and around month-end), and the booking form shows the exact rate for your date.
| Crew | First 3 hours (flat, every date) | Minimum | After that, on standard dates |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2 movers and a truck | $750 flat | 3 hours | $150/hr |
| 3 movers | $950 flat | 3 hours | $195/hr |
| 4 movers | $1,200 flat | 4 hours | $245/hr |
| 5 movers and 2 trucks | $1,600 flat | 4 hours | $325/hr |
Moving between two addresses that are both inside the City of Toronto? That move is priced hourly instead, with a minimum and 1 hour of travel at the rate for your date: see the Toronto rates.
Deposit and booking. Sending the form is a request, and no payment is taken. Once our Toronto / GTA team confirms availability, we send a payment link for the $105 deposit, and your move is booked when it is paid. Deposits are refundable if you cancel or reschedule at least 48 hours before your move; inside 48 hours a fee may apply.
Not priced online. Long-distance moves get one written flat quote per job. Packing, furniture disassembly, extra stops and heavy items such as pianos and safes are confirmed by our Toronto / GTA team before your move.

What you can check before you book
- Founded in Ottawa in 2010. Toronto / GTA is a new office for us.
- Published prices. The Mississauga price model is on this page, and the booking form shows the price for your date.
- Written quotes. Nothing is booked and no deposit is requested unless you accept the quote.

Ontario rules that protect you with any mover
- A moving contract above a set value must be in writing, with a description of the services and an itemized list of prices.
- The final bill can go only a limited amount above the estimate in your contract, unless you need extra services or supplies and agree to the increase.
- A mover may not hold your belongings to pressure you into new terms.

Where we move in Mississauga
Every address in the City of Mississauga is one choice in the booking form, Mississauga, with the same flat first-3-hours price. That includes Port Credit, Clarkson, Cooksville, the City Centre, Erin Mills, Churchill Meadows, Meadowvale, Streetsville and Malton.
Mississauga covers a large area, so the trip that matters is the one between your two addresses, not the distance to the city centre. Your quote is based on your actual addresses.
Moves between Mississauga and nearby communities
The same flat first 3 hours apply to a move between Mississauga and the City of Toronto, Brampton and Caledon in Peel Region, or Oakville and Milton in Halton Region, because all of them are in the booking form. So are Burlington, Hamilton and the other communities inside the 150 km area we serve from Toronto: see where we move from Toronto.

These are service areas, not office locations. The distance on this page is an approximate road distance from our Toronto office to the centre of Mississauga, measured in October 2026; your quote uses your actual addresses. Distance data © OpenStreetMap contributors.
Long-distance moves from and to Mississauga
Moving from Mississauga to a place outside the communities in the booking form, elsewhere in Ontario or in another province? Choose Long-distance in the booking form and tell us where you are moving to. Our Toronto / GTA team sends one written flat quote, built from both addresses, the size of your home or office, your date, the access at each end and any packing or heavy items. No deposit is requested unless you accept the quote.
Moving to Mississauga from farther away? Call (365) 601-5001 or email [email protected] and we will quote it. Coming from Ottawa? Our Ottawa to Mississauga route page lists our Ottawa office, and requests sent there are quoted by the Ottawa team.

Mississauga movers: common questions
How much do movers cost in Mississauga?
A move inside Mississauga, or between Mississauga and Toronto or another community in our booking form, has a flat price for the first 3 hours: $750 for 2 movers and a truck, $950 for 3 movers, $1,200 for 4 movers and $1,600 for 5 movers with 2 trucks, before HST (13%). After that, time is billed at the hourly rate for your date: $150/hr, $195/hr, $245/hr or $325/hr on a standard date, and higher on busy dates. Crews of 4 or 5 movers have a 4-hour minimum, so their fourth hour is billed at the hourly rate. Only a move with both addresses inside the City of Toronto is priced differently: hourly, with a minimum and 1 hour of travel at the rate for your date.
What is the smallest move you take in Mississauga?
The smallest booked local move in Mississauga is the flat first 3 hours with 2 movers and a truck: $750 on any date, before HST (13%). For one piece or a few, ask for a written quote and describe the items.
Is there a deposit, and is it refundable?
Yes: a $105 deposit, refundable if you cancel or reschedule at least 48 hours before your move (inside 48 hours a fee may apply). Nothing is charged when you send the booking form. Once our Toronto / GTA team confirms availability, you get a payment link for the deposit, and your move is booked when it is paid.
How many movers do I need?
Tell the booking form how many bedrooms you have and it suggests a crew: 2 movers up to a 1-bedroom home (studio included), 3 for 2 bedrooms, 4 for 3 bedrooms, and 5 movers with 2 trucks from 4 bedrooms up. The suggestion is not binding. Stairs, elevators and the walk to the truck at both addresses count too, and the Toronto / GTA team settles the crew with you before the move is booked.
Do you have an office in Mississauga?
No. Mississauga moves are planned by our Toronto / GTA office at 325 Front Street West, 2nd Floor, Toronto, ON M5V 2Y1. Call (365) 601-5001 or email [email protected], and Men In Trucks crews come to your Mississauga address on moving day.
Do you move offices in Mississauga?
Yes. Pick Office/Commercial in the booking form and give the number of workstations, or start with a written quote. Your building's management sets the move rules and any elevator or loading-dock booking, so ask early and pass them on to us; at the curb, the truck goes where the posted signs allow.
Can the moving truck park on my street in Mississauga?
On a street in a residential zone, the Traffic By-law lets a heavy truck stop only to carry goods to or from an address that can only be reached by that street, or for a temporary period while it attends a home for a delivery or service. Where parking is prohibited, the truck can generally stand while the crew is actually loading or unloading, but not in a No Standing or No Stopping zone. The five-hour limit and the 2 a.m. to 6 a.m. ban apply to every vehicle, your own car included, and the City's temporary parking permits are not available for heavy or commercial vehicles. During a citywide winter parking restriction, no one can park on the street unless a sign says so, so we plan the truck spot with you: your driveway, a signed spot or a different time.
My condo needs the elevator booked. How does that work with the movers?
Ask your property manager first: in Ontario, condo rules are passed by each corporation's board, and move rules such as the elevator booking, the permitted move times and any deposit differ from building to building. In the booking form, tell us whether the elevator is booked, choose the arrival window that fits your slot and note any loading-dock or height limit. Send us the building's rules and we fit the crew and the timing to them.
How far ahead should I book movers in Mississauga?
As soon as your date is firm. Tenants in Ontario generally give at least 60 days' written notice, so the day you give notice is a good time to ask for a quote. In a condo, book the elevator first. Friday to Sunday, May to September and month-end are the busy dates.
