We don’t sell mystery boxes. Every Men In Trucks moving box is rated for residential moves, double-walled where it matters, sized for the items they’re meant to carry, and printed with a labelling guide on the side. Boxes are clean, factory-new, and delivered free with any move booking. Standalone box orders for DIY moves get same-day or next-day drop-off in Ottawa, Kanata, Nepean, Orleans, Barrhaven, and Gatineau.

Packing supplies are priced fairly and bundled with bulk discounts: 10+ boxes drop the per-unit cost. Packing paper (10 lb / 25 lb), bubble wrap (12″ × 50′), tape, markers, and labels are available on the same delivery.

How to pack each box correctly (so nothing breaks)
Small / book boxes
Heavy items go in small boxes — books, records, canned goods, tools. Never load a large box with books; it will fail at the bottom seam. Cap each small box at 40 lbs. Tape the bottom in an H-pattern (centre seam plus both side seams) before loading.
Medium and large boxes
Mixed contents, lamp shades, pillows, bedding. Heaviest item at the bottom, lightest on top. Fill voids with crumpled paper so contents don’t shift in transit. Label the room destination on TWO sides — the side facing up and one vertical side — so the crew can stack boxes without re-sorting.
Dish-pack boxes
Use cell dividers (free with every dish-pack purchase). Wrap each glass and plate individually in packing paper, stand plates on edge (not flat), wrap stemware twice. Fragile in red marker on every face. Cap at 35 lbs; less if it’s all glassware.
Wardrobe boxes
Hanging clothes go directly from your closet to the wardrobe box on the bar — no folding, no wrinkles. Slide the bar out, hang clothes, slide it back in. Pack shoes in a separate box; never at the bottom of the wardrobe — it crushes the hems.

Frequently asked questions
Are moving boxes free if I book a full move with you?
We bundle box materials into full-service packing bookings — boxes, paper, tape, and wrap are quoted in the all-in price and only used materials are billed. For move-only bookings, boxes are sold separately at the prices above with free delivery over $75.
Can I return unused boxes for a refund?
Yes. Unused, unfolded boxes returned within 14 days of delivery are refunded at the price you paid, minus a $10 pickup fee waived if you drop them at our 612 Paul Métivier warehouse.
Do you sell used boxes at a discount?
We don’t sell used boxes. Every box leaves our warehouse factory-new because residential moves stress cardboard at the seams — used boxes fail under load. We do recycle boxes returned by previous customers responsibly.
How quickly can you deliver if I have a move tomorrow?
Order before 2 p.m. for same-day Ottawa-proper delivery. Outer suburbs and Gatineau next-business-day. Last-minute weekend bookings go through the call line at 613-800-0917.
Do you sell specialty boxes (TV, mattress, golf clubs)?
Yes. TV boxes (32–75″), mattress bags (twin through king), and golf-club / ski / sports-equipment boxes are available on request. Quoted per-item — call to confirm sizing.
Is packing paper included in bundles, or extra?
Packing paper is included in every bundle above (5–50 lb depending on size). Extra paper, tape, bubble wrap, and markers can be added at checkout or on the delivery day.
